Alex Meltzer, PhD, Chris Moad and Adam Van Dyke, PhD to provide strategic management of Early Charm Ventures across its entire portfolio
December 20, 2019, Baltimore, MD – Early Charm Ventures, a startup studio that collaborates with academic researchers to convert science to business, today announced a slate of key staff promotions as part of Early Charm’s continued growth of its company portfolio.
Alex Meltzer, PhD, is promoted to Principal and will take over responsibility for managing and expanding Early Charm’s drug development portfolio. Meltzer has played a key role in helping advance several Early Charm portfolio companies, including DiPole Materials, Gaskiya Diagnostics and Rasio Therapeutics.
Chris Moad is promoted to Principal and will take over responsibility for managing and expanding Early Charm’s machine vision portfolio. Moad previously led Early Charm’s technology scouting efforts to establish clear pathways for new venture launches and supported the existing portfolio in obtaining funding and via key operations management roles.
Adam Van Dyke, PhD, is promoted to Principal and will take over responsibility for managing
and expanding Early Charm’s aquaculture technologies portfolio. Van Dyke led Early Charm’s
business planning and financing efforts, obtaining funding for Minnowtech, Abri Science, Rasio Therapeutics and SilcsBio.
