Lahasky – a chemist with broad research and product development experience – to explore new research areas and provide technical assistance for Early Charm’s Company Suite
April 21, 2023, Baltimore, MD – Early Charm, a company that creates, owns and operates ventures that convert science to revenue, today announced the hiring of Samuel Lahasky, PhD – a chemist with significant research and corporate product management experience – as Manager, Research Planning.
Lahasky graduated from Tulane University with a BS in Chemistry, and later earned a PhD in Chemistry from Louisiana State University, with an emphasis in organic and polymer chemistries.
Lahasky then completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Delaware’s Material Science and Engineering Department where he studied the aggregation of amyloid peptide conjugates.
In addition to his academic career, Lahasky worked in product management for Indorama and was Senior R&D Research Scientist with Oxiteno where he focused his research on surfactant chemistry and surface science.
Lahasky also worked as Chief Technical Officer with SciGenesis, a Materic portfolio company that develops specialized cosmetics and textiles to protect warfighters, workers and recreationists from environmental elements.
In his new role with Early Charm, Lahasky will focus on the preparation of research outlines, conduct grant writing and provide technical assistance across Early Charm’s portfolio of companies in advanced materials, blue economy, drug design and engineered products.
